We provide independent film music owners the opportunity to monetize their music assets while keeping ownership rights, and transparency in all of our transactions.
As long time members of the film music community, the founders of Score Revolution are also dedicated to promoting the greater awareness of this vibrant art form by sponsoring and promoting forums and events that serve to further that purpose.
We believe that film music is consistently the most unique, diverse, ingeniously composed, expertly produced instrumental music that licensors will find. Score Revolution was established to provide licensing customers easy access to this great music. As film music professionals, we understand its value and know that film music is a high quality alternative to the generally generic music found in production music libraries.

When combined with our leading online sales and marketing technology, backed by a team of trusted industry professionals, we believe we've made it an easy win-win decision.
Although the great majority of our catalog is derived directly from film scores, we also have some other great music from well-known film composers.
Score Revolution services professionals who license music for films, television, advertising, film trailers, interactive games, branding, internet, high level corporate use, and any other outlets that license high quality music.
In addition to advertising and event sponsorships, we will market your music on our website, using our blog, onsite reviews, social media platforms and viral marketing techniques. We will also have a presence at festivals and trade shows that are serviced by the music licensing industry.
Only verifiable music licensing professionals are allowed access to music on the site. They are required to register with us before they are able to play or download music.
License fees vary widely with some television uses as low as $500.00 and some advertising uses as much as $200,000.00 or more. Also, music from films that are recognizable in the market tend to be valued more highly. Our licensing team are experts at pricing music in a manner that asserts its value while still encouraging its use.
You will be automatically alerted about any license via email and/or text. You will soon be able to utilize our new online tools to track all transactions including when a quote has been requested, the status of the request, and when a license use has been confirmed.
If there are some general guidelines that you'd like us to use when licensing your music, we are open to working with you. We will also use common sense in safeguarding the value of your copyrights by exercising judgment in how the music is used.
Score-Revolution will generally have the right to approve all licenses. However, we may include mutual approval rights where the rights holder deems it necessary. It's important to note that slowing down the process to include approval rights may lose you licensing income.
We negotiate and issue all licenses and collect all fees. We will pay you within thirty (30) days of receiving payment from the customer. Typically a license is paid at the time it is first exploited publicly, even if the negotiation has taken place well before that time.
You must own or control a significant percentage of the rights. If you do not own all the rights it will be up to us to determine if your ownership, combined with the information you provide us, is sufficient for us to enter into an agreement with you.
Yes, this is an exclusive licensing deal for the duration of the term. In our experience we've found that having more than one entity licensing on behalf of the same music, causes confusion in the marketplace and devalues the catalog significantly. We will, of course, work with third parties who co-own your rights.
Your publishing deal can co-exist with your agreement with Score Revolution. If you enter into a publishing agreement after signing with Score, your agreement should include a provision that takes into account the rights you've granted us.
Yes! If you’d like, we can enter into a separate publishing administration agreement with you. However, you are not obligated to sign a publishing administration agreement with us in order to have an account.
The existence of a soundtrack album will most likely not affect Score's ability to license the music. However, we will need to see your contract with the album distributor to determine the extent, if any, of its right to license on your behalf.
